Essay upon Case Study- International Business

1 . Do an analysis in the German food retail consumer. How do consumers in Germany differ (or do they? ) coming from consumers in america?

Wal-Mart Assumed that the A language like german market was similar to the Us and that the German born consumer will desire low prices with excellent customer service. Wal-Mart wanted to take price command through price leadership. By offering free searching bags within a market in which consumers pay for bags and bah providing services. Additionally they allowed credit card acceptance, baby trolleys and hospitality just like greeters at the door. Wal-Mart completely misitreperted the Germans. In Germany the shoppers want to bargain quest on their own, with no cheerful assistance. They also located the low-cost, economical Wal-Mart in a low-price market place which built Wal-Mart appearance rather high-class.

The Germans consumers differ from the united states consumers incidentally they prefer to bargain hunt and want to get it done on their own. They do not like the happy greeters or perhaps the smiley logo. In Australia they are not quick connectors as they tend to have set behaviors and it is really hard to encourage them to switch stores if they cannot consider themselves to be underserved. Also another big difference between US consumers and German customers is the A language like german consumer is usually not familiar aside from has the good thing about the dedication programs we in America are really strongly giving. Which is why the Germans weren't overly pumped up about this benefit where that they typically pay with cash.

2 . What presumptions did Wal-Mart make regarding German individuals who were wrong? Why did the company help to make erroneous presumptions?

As I detailed many cases inside the first problem about features Wal-Mart provided but was lost. I think Wal-Mart based their very own assumptions off of the American traditions and thought they would end up being just as happy and pumped up about the prices and services as we are in the us. They looked passed Germanys restrictive plans on shop hours and new...
