In a highly intricate, competitive, and innovative globalized world, the main topic of competencies features emerged while means to website link universities with all the real requirements of the organizations. But this topic far from being clear is definitely confusing and ambiguous inside the specialized books. Competencies had been classified in education in accordance to two approaches—behaviorism and constructivism and a polemic develops when trying to determine which ones prevails in higher education. The Mexican Ministry of Education (SEP) claims that the constructivist approach prevails in Mexico, while the one behaviorist features considerably lessened in the face-to-face, e-learning, and b-learning modalities. A non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, and simple cross-sectional research was designed with the seek to analyze the effectiveness of the different educational modalities to produce competencies in the undergraduate educational institutions of the business area of UPAEP. The topic of competencies was proposed in higher education to face the battle of fortifying the teaching-learning process; nevertheless up to the present, it has been found in the face-to-face modality and little evidence of what e-learning and b-learning allow to produce. In this impression, it is clear that the study problem of this investigation is actually not answered by studies in competencies built to this particular date. The term expertise, was put on labor in order to was first launched, and its purpose was filling the breaks in the training for a task. But this situation has changed till becoming a fresh option inside the education realms.
